Our Focus is to Engage and Educate the Public About Their Water Resources
Understanding the scientific and regulatory framework of Florida’s water resources are an essential part of FAWQC’s mission. FAWQC believes in engaging and educating the public to ensure that the mission of protecting our water resources is shared with the people that depend on them.
FAWQC’s annual conference creates a forum of education and innovation for professionals already working to protect water resources in Florida. Throughout the year FAWQC also holds free webinars for water resource professionals to learn more about specific topics of interest from experts in the field.
With shifting regulations at both the state and federal level affecting water, it is important to become familiar with these changes and their potential impacts. To realize the vision of future innovation and advancement in protecting Florida’s water quality, FAWQC empowers future generations to take action to further our mission beyond what we may even believe possible.
FAWQC provides grants through our E2 Program to fund water related projects that engage students in grades K-12. FAWQC also provides awards to promising projects at Florida Science Fairs that relate to protecting Florida’s water resources. The funds awarded allow students to pursue knowledge and advancement in water related studies. That is one of the best investments we can make in Florida’s water future.
