What is an E2 Fund Grant?
The E2 Fund Grant is awarded annually to a school, a civic or community organization in the State of Florida. The award is based on the proposed project’s overall environmental value as to:
- Fostering awareness and understanding of a water related issue;
- Being cost effective;
- Basing the project on sound science principles;
- Promoting involvement of students or citizens; and,
- Promoting enhancement of a water resource or associated habitat.
Who can apply for an E2 Grant?
Schools, civic or community organizations may apply for an E2 Grant. A lead project contact must be identified with each application.
What is the maximum Grant awarded per project?
In general, individual project budgets should not exceed $1,000. Exceptional outreach projects in excess of $1,000 may be considered from time to time. Please contact FAWQC (see below for contact info) prior to applying for a larger grant.
What is the deadline for applying for the E2 Grant?
The deadline for grant applications is October 15. FAWQC will meet after the deadline to review grant applications and select grant recipients so that funds can be distributed to the winners either before the holidays or right after the new year.
How do I apply for the Grant?
Fill out an online E2 Application. Your project proposal should address each of the above five requirements listed above.
Communication of funded project details during the FAWQC annual water issues conference is the primary mechanism for continued external financial support of the FAWQC E2 Fund. If awarded an E2 Fund Grant, the recipient agrees that grant monies will only be used for the purchase of goods and/or services necessary for implementation and completion of the approved E2 Project and that, if requested by FAWQC, the recipient will provide documentation (e.g., receipts, work orders) demonstrating that grant monies were used in that manner. If awarded an E2 Fund Grant, the recipient also understands that a written report, poster, or video presentation regarding the approved E2 Project may be required prior to June 1.
If you have any questions or concerns about the application process or requirements, please contact Mr. David O’Brien at firstname.lastname@example.org.
